  Current Events and Announcements:

The University of New Orleans is a state agency, and the majority of the staff positions are in the classified Civil Service system.  Applications for Civil Service testing or grading are available from the UNO Office of Human Resource Management, Room 213 in the Administration Building.  Nonclassified, administrative and faculty positions are advertised in newspapers, magazines, professional journals and/or on the UNO web page.  Applicants interested in these types of positions should send a resume and letter of application to either the department of interest, or to Human Resource Management.

Our Mission

The Office of Human Resource Management, within the division of Academic Affairs, develops and administers Human Resource Management activities that are designed to meet the needs of Management in accomplishment of missions through the fair, efficient and economical use of personnel in accordance with the requirements of the University of New Orleans.

This office formulates and issues policies concerning Placement and Recruitment, Employer-Employee Relations, Fringe Benefit Programs, Training and Employee Development, and evaluates programs as outlined by various manuals, regulations, policies, procedures and memoranda. This office also administers a Human Resource Management information system that allows timely and accurate reporting of personnel information.

AVAILABILITY OF ANNUAL REPORT & SAFETY GUIDE

As mandated by the Clery Act, the Annual Report must be published and distributed by October 1st, of each year. This report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on-campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University of New Orleans; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus. This report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning sexual assault, and other matters. You can obtain a paper copy of this report in accordance with United States Code of Federal Regulations, Title 34, Part 668.46(c)(1) by contacting the UNO Police Department at 504.280.6371 or visiting the following:
