Cindy
Kruebbe:

Ms. Cindy Kruebbe has been selected as Key Instrumental
Employee for April 2009 because of her continuous commitment and loyalty
to UNO. The following is a summary of her nominations she received from
co-workers, graduate students, and supervisors:
"Cindy Kruebbe is timely, friendly, proactive, and has a warm and
kind demeanor. She represents her department with the utmost professionalism.
Combined with her attention to detail and vast knowledge of the University,
this makes her one of the most respected employees on campus. Cindy
has never wavered in her warm personality or her devotion to her job
and the University"
Carl
Pilie:

As Assistant Director for Intramural Sports in the Recreation
& Intramural Sports Department, Carl Pilie has demonstrated dedication
and loyalty to the University of New Orleans by engaging students, faculty
and staff in the intramural sports program.
Carl organizes and coaches intramural sports leagues
and spends a lot of time promoting and attracting students to participate
in these programs. He is currently working to develop a faculty/staff
volleyball league.
As a volunteer coach of the UNO Club Football team, he
is currently devoting his time and effort toward another great season
of UNO Club Football.
It takes a truly gifted person to be able to touch so
many people and Carl is a true asset to the entire UNO community.
Ellen
McCoy:

Ms. Ellen McCoy, a custodian in the Psychology and Geology
Building, has been selected as the Key Instrumental Employee of the
Month for June because of her dedication to the University of New Orleans.
The following is a summary of the nominations she received.
Ellen always has a smile on her face and maintains a pleasant
disposition to everyone she meets. She is instrumental in making the
psychology department a pleasant place to work by both her efforts in
housekeeping and her positive attitude and demeanor. She has a genuine
concern for everyone and makes sure their needs are met. She is an invaluable
asset to the psychology department and the UNO community.
John
Theriot:

John Theriot, a facility maintenance manager, has been
selected as the Key Instrumental Employee for the month of July for
his dedication to the University, prompt response to requests and professionalism.
John has been described as "helpful, creative and
kind." Even with the budget constraints, he always finds a creative
way to get the project done and always goes above and beyond the call
of duty. During his 30 years of service to UNO, he has proven to be
an invaluable asset.
Christy
Heaton:

Christy Heaton, Assistant Director of Admissions for Orientation
and Campus Events, has been selected as the Key Instrumental Employee
for August 2009. For the past two years she has enhanced New Student
Orientation in a way never seen before. This is evident by the students'
response to the helpful information and fun events that she has organized.
Christy's boundless energy and creativity have made the orientation
program an excellent first experience for our new students, transfers
and adult learners.
Christy's co-workers describe her as an example of what
a leader should be and "the best co-worker anyone could have."
She always has a positive attitude, is a hard worker, never complains
and delivers great customer service. Christy is an invaluable asset
to UNO.

Ernest
Mackey:

Ernest Mackey, Executive Assistant in the Political Science
Department, has been selected as the key instrumental employee for September
2009.
Ernest is being recognized for his dedication, determination,
and ingenuity through the transitions of Hurricane Katrina and the current
budget crisis. His knowledge and extraordinary efficiency are well known
not only throughout the political science department, but through others
departments on campus as well.
Ernest is quick to lend a helping hand to anyone on campus
and is passionately committed to his volunteer work at the Lazarus House.
Co-workers said that it is through Ernest's wit, charm, patience and
respect for others that he is able to create and maintain a happy working
environment. Ernest is an invaluable colleague and UNO is very lucky
to have him!

Sean
Hickey:

Sean Hickey, Business Manager and Instructor in the Chemistry
Department, has been selected Key Instrumental Employee for the October.
Sean has been described as helpful, extremely organized
and prompt in addition to being friendly and cheerful. Co-workers say
he is extremely efficient and thorough in the execution of his duties
and does not wait for setbacks to occur, works to anticipate problems
and intercepts them before they start. He is also a good representative
of the Department and the University through his extensive activities
in the local American Chemical Society.
Sean Hickey is an invaluable asset to the Chemistry Department
as well as the University.
